I am going to choose the Public Domain version of the Ramayana. The main reasons I am choosing this anthology are because it is free, it has pictures, and it is broken down into pages and reading sections. It looks like the older language style will not be challenging for me, so I think this route is worth pursuing. I started reading the first pages of the Ramayana, and I liked the picture of the capital city of Ayodya (posted below) - pictures definitely make stories better.

I took a look at the comic books and videos. For the comic books, the first one that caught my eye was Hanuman to the Rescue. I think this would be a really good comic book because of the plot and because of Hanuman's character growing large to defeat enemies. Sounds like the Hulk to me - maybe Marvel should include Hanuman in its cinematic universe. The second comic book I found on the comic book website I had to look at because it has a funny cover illustration - that book is Kumbhakarna: The Sleeping Giant:

This comic book looks like it would be a good read, and I think it plays a good contrast to the previous comic book I looked at - now the 'bad guys' have a giant!
I found the Ancient Technology - Atlantis and India to be interesting because I am always curious about technology, even if the technology is ancient. It is interesting to me to see what was cutting edge for different time periods and how it helped people in the society. The second video I was interested in was the Crash Course video on the Ramayana; I like watching Crash Course videos because they are good at getting main point across using modern language. I am also interested in the historical context of these writings, because it is important to consider while reading.
